Looking back on 2013, plus a sneak peek of 2014

As I sat down this morning to draft our last online marketing newsletter for 2013, it forced me to take a minute to reflect on the past twelve months, and specifically on the road we’ve walked as a team at Springnest. I am humbled to be able to share some highlights with you, but more importantly, excited to share some plans for 2014.

Growing a real industry solution

From day one, our vision has been to offer an online marketing solution that is as flexible and diverse as the tourism industry is. As from the second quarter of 2013 this became a reality as B&Bs, lodges, guest houses, tented camps, guest farms, adventure companies, wildlife reserves, day tour providers, and local tourist attractions chose Springnest as a website, mobile and content management solution.

Delivering on our promise: constantly adding value

Using our roadmap and the valuable feedback from clients, we rolled out some powerful features:

We hung out in London

We were fortunate to win a exhibition stand at TTE2013 through the kind folks at Tnooz.

Online marketing workshops

Springnest was commissioned to facilitate online marketing workshops with both the Western Cape Resort Association and Oudtshoorn Tourism. We covered more than 10 practical modules, mostly covering social media, content creation, design and digital strategy.

We grew in numbers

Athenkosi Matyalana was welcomed to the team as content manager in September.

Meaningful partnerships

Springnest was chosen as the preferred website solution for NightsBridge and ActivityBridge clients.

Looking ahead: sneak peak of 2014

A (even) more powerful Springnest

We have a handful of new features and add-ons on the roadmap for next few months, including improved features for publishing Springnest Articles, a deeper look into how clients can drive more traffic and bookings from Facebook, new design and theme options, enhanced ActivityBridge integration and more.

Clients stories

During the first quarter of 2014, we’ll be launching a series of client stories (a portfolio if you will), telling the unique tales behind our clients, but also showing how they use Springnest to market their products.

Springnest Help Center

Soon our clients will have access to a library of tutorial videos and guides on how to best use and leverage Springnest to manage and grow their online content. The Help Center will serve as an educational resource where clients can learn at their own pace.

We believe that good marketing tools only work the way they should when businesses understand how to use them, and more importantly, why they should be. We love creating intuitive and understandable guides, tutorials, and how-to‘s for our clients, whether they are only starting out with their Facebook Page, or plotting a content strategy or campaign.
